I’m looking for information regarding a very old and large bible that has been in our possession for many years. I would like to know if there is an organization in Ottawa that would like to add it to their library.
The mystery of the Family Bible has been partially solved.
It appears that the Bible was printed in Boston in the 1860’s.
Its travels seem to have gone through New Glasgow, Dartmouth, New Minas, Peterborough, Trenton to end up in Ottawa.
The name on the Bible is “ Pronouncing Parallel Bible, The Old And New Versions Parallel Columns“ and it contains pictures and information about the Bibles language and weighs over twenty pounds.
It has been decided with some discussion with local family members that it will remain in my possession and passed on to my heirs.
It is too bad that my late wife wasn’t here to help with this mystery of the Bible that we carried around for many years and moves.
