Once upon a time this sandy coloured cowhide was absolutely gorgeous. Especially the subtle stripes across the back. 😍 It has served as the rug in the entrance hall of my parents’ house for a few decades. Sadly, it has seen better days and it is time to replace it.
As is clear in the photos, the half furthest from the front door is incredibly worn away. A lot of the hair is actually missing and the bare skin/leather is showing through. But the side closest to the front door is in much better condition. If you are handy with a pair of scissors and a heavy duty sewing machine, I imagine one could make a fun throw cushion out of the better sections. It has been vacuumed regularly over the decades, and will be vacuumed freshly before collection. 👍
