Just discovered these old newspapers that document some of Birmingham's history. First one is about life in Victorian Birmingham. Trains arrived in Brum almost as the same time as Victoria's accession. What were trains and stations like then. See some of the amazing Victorian buildings that have been destroyed. What were schools like in 1830s? And much more. Lots of photos, mostly in black and white. Second one is about national and local changes in the 1950s and 60s.
Third one is in 2 parts. It looks back on 1969 using front pages from the Birmingham Post throughout the year. Last one takes a similar approach to 1963.
