This is something that I hope there is somebody who will know of ‘just the right place’ in their house. Maybe in a large fireplace, or . . . well, or somewhere else.
The scales come from my parents shop in rural Essex and were part of the fixtures when they bought the business in the 1940s. I can’t recall it ever being used and know it they were in a storeroom from the 1960s until they retired and have been in my loft for the past 20 years.
I have nowhere to put them - but they are too good to throw away.
Do you have a space for these scales and the style / age of house for them?
If not they might end up in the charity shop (not sure they would take them) or in the worst case they will go to the household waste site.
