Curtain rods, Continental style (Brunswick/Glenwood Basin)
Withdrawn
One long and one short Kirsch curtain rod. One is 66" to 120", the other 18" to 28". Okay to take one and not both. Note that these are "Continental" style which means the rod pocket is 2 1/2", wider than a typical curtain rod. I was going to make valances over our kitchen windows but decided not to.

Wooden box, sturdy (Brunswick/Glenwood Basin)
Withdrawn
Cosmetically challenged but well-made and strong, this wooden box was used to hold extra wood in our garage during cold weather. We've converted the stove to gas and no longer have a use for it. Outside dimensions 27" long, 14" wide, 12" high. In town behind SaveMart shopping center, near Brunswick/Hghwy 49/20.

Slip covers for wingback chairs (Brunswick/Glenwood Basin)
Take one or both. These are knit, stretchy slip covers that work on wingback chairs like the one shown. (Chair NOT included!). We used to put one on our chair when it got moved into the living room for a party, but have decided the chair is in good enough shape to not bother anymore. Different textures, but both do the job. The one on the right is slightly heavier weight. Located in town, Brunswick area behind SaveMart. Can leave on the covered front porch bench for you to come by anytime to hop out, get it and keep on going.

Mini-blind, 57", white, works fine (Brunswick/Glenwood Basin)
Expired
This mini-blind has all parts and was taken down from a kitchen window in a Penn Valley rental (hence "P.V." on the label in photo) when my relatives moved out and the homeowner did not want a blind there. 57" wide, color white. Located in Brunswick area behind SaveMart. We can put it on our front covered porch and you can come by anytime, hop out grab it and keep going.

Oster Bread Machine & instructions (Brunswick/Glenwood Basin)
Expired
Bread machine, Oster brand, seeking a new home. We believe it works fine -- it's been in storage but worked the last time it was used. Original manufacturer's instruction book included. Located behind SaveMart shopping center, off Nevada City Highway near Brunswick. I can leave this on our front porch (protected in a plastic bag) for you to swing by, hop out of the car to get it, and keep on going. We would have given this to Hospice Thrift Store, but they said they have to test everything (of course!) and could not make bread just to test it! (Of course.)

Small stand for closet/shed etc (Brunswick/Glenwood Basin)
Expired
This MDF cabinet (has wheels) makes a great little shelf unit in a closet, shed or garage. Could also be a TV stand. It's looking for a new home. Minor cosmetic issues on the surfaces. As shown in photo, one cabinet door is off because the top hinge pulled out of the MDF. You would probably want to just remove the remaining door and make it a two-shelf unit. 28" wide x 25 1/2" high (including wheels) x 15 1/2" deep. Upper shelf is 7 1/4" high at the front, but the inside measurement (and opening at the back) are 7 3/4" high. Lower shelf is 12" high inside. Located in town near Brunswick, behind SaveMart shopping center. Can help you load it in your vehicle (be sure to measure first if you don't have a SUV or van or large trunk).

Wingback chair w/footrest;slipcover (Brunswick/Glenwood Basin)
Expired
This wingback chair has a few cosmetic issues on the original upholstery, so we've kept a slipcover on it. (I should have tucked it in better before taking the photo!). The footrest works fine, it just looks strange because of the angle in the photo. The seat cushion is SOFT when you first sit down, but once you're in it, it's comfortable. We're close in town off Nevada City Highway, behind SaveMart shopping center, near Brunswick/49.

Side table (former sewing cabinet) (Brunswick/Glenwood Basin)
Expired
This little table used to be a sewing cabinet. The top is hinged at the left -- if you flap it back, you'll see a large opening where a sewing machine could be dropped into it when not being used. For many years now, it's been used only as a side table. On the right (looking at it) the veneer is peeling some (see photo). If you can't put it in a location where that's not visible, you could carefully glue down some of it and use a wood-color marking pen to color the small missing piece. Dimensions: 24" wide, 17" deep, 31" high. The full-view photo is the actual color, I'd taken the photo in the shade and had to brighten it up. Located in town off Nevada City Highway behind SaveMart shopping center.

Computer desk & printer stand (Brunswick/Glenwood Basin)
Expired
Have you ever wished your computer desk had an actual keyboard tray, so you're not reaching up or crunching your shoulders because your keyboard is on top of the desk? These units belonged to my elderly mother who has now moved in with us. There are some modest cosmetic issues on the desktop which don't affect its use. Keyboard tray slides in and out. (The black nylon in the photo is keeping the keyboard from sliding out when moving the desk.) Desk is 38 1/2" wide, 20 1/2" deep, and 28" high. Printer stand is 18 1/2" wide, 16" deep, 28" high. Printer stand needs some structural support so it doesn't sway -- mom had it between the right edge of the desk and the wall (i.e., in a corner). You could also use two small L-brackets to stabilize it on its own. It has a drawer that will swing out to hold small supplies like paper clips, These are made of MDF but are not terribly heavy - one person can move the printer stand, two normal-strength people can move the desk (and we will help you). Located off Nevada City Highway behind SaveMart shopping center, near Brunswick.

Shelf/storage cubby components (Brunswick/Glenwood Basin)
Expired
These cubby components are configurable in many different ways. Shown is one set of components that created three shelves (or you might way 1 surface and two shelves above). Includes a bag of about 30 sides and many connectors. They are opaque/translucent. Relatively strong -- would surely hold paperbacks but I'm not sure about hardbound books. Great for stuffed animals and other things that kids collect. You can make 2 up and 3 across, or 3 by 3, or a step-style unit of 1-2-3, or many other configurations. These belonged to my sister who has moved out of state. Close in town, off Nevada City Highway behind SaveMart shopping center near Brunswick.

Exercise bike (Brunswick/Glenwood Basin)
Expired
Schwinn exercise bike. Has some tears in seat (see photo), but my 96-year-old mother still used it with no problem. Seat adjusts forward and back. Not electric (does not plug in) but the display board lights up from energy produced when you cycle. Digital programs do NOT work, but you can adjust the tension/pressure/resisteance of your pedaling with the display board. Heavy -- rolls on front wheels. Need two strong people to lift into truck. Okay to come for no-obligation try-out. Located behind SaveMart shopping center off Nevada City Highway, near Brunswick.

"Blue Ice" substitutes (Brunswick/Glenwood Basin)
Expired
These freezer-ice bags are leftover from deliveries we've received. They act just like Blue Ice, just slightly smaller, and they are flexible when not frozen (unlike Blue Ice blocks). Can be frozen in a desired shape, such as curved around a container, if you need to put ice on your leg or arm. Located off Nevada City Highway behind SaveMart shopping center. I can leave them in a plastic bag underneath our street address reflective sign.

Metal mailboxes (Brunswick/Glenwood Basin)
Expired
Two mailboxes, both meet USPS requirements. (Our neighborhood changed to a consolidated USPS box with locks/keys.) White one is larger in very good condition. Black one is older and attached to a board underneath; pull-latch can be straightened if you like (see photo). In town near Brunswick, behind SaveMart shopping center.

Felt or velcro board -for teachers? (Brunswick/Glenwood Basin)
Expired
This board is covered with soft, foam-like material on both sides. Velcro (see white dot in upper left) sticks to it and I believe felt would also (I can test that if needed.) Has random slight indentations on both sides which don't affect stick-ability. In town near Brunswick, behind SaveMart shopping center.

Double reclining loveseat (Brunswick/Glenwood Basin)
Expired
Comfortable small sofa/loveseat in good condition. Deep seat, better for average-to-plus size people than for petite types. Foot rests come up easily with side handles. I will supply measurements to any who inquire (sorry don't have them now). Because of the double reclining mechanisms, it is very heavy and needs two strong people to move. No stairs to get it out of living room, just a few feet to the door, one step out, 10 feet to one step up to driveway (or no step going over lawn). Behind SaveMart shopping center off Brunswick/Nevada City Highway.

Speaker/amp (or karaoke CD player?) (Brunswick/Glenwood Basin)
Expired
This Radio Shack karaoke player is about 20 years old and still works. It has a huge speaker and works great simply as a speaker/amp, such as if you or your club/organization needs amplification for a good-size crowd, outdoor event, etc. (It's okay for a smaller group, too.) See dimensions on the first photo -- nearly 2 feet tall and weighs about 35 pounds. You would need to provide a microphone with a standard plug at the end of the cord. Photos show all controls and the inputs available on the back. If you still have karaoke CDs or cassette tapes, or regular old-style music CDs or tapes, this machine would play them (including showing the lyrics on a monitor if you are playing CDGs) but most people would probably find its best usage as an amplifier/speaker. Located behind SaveMart shopping center.

Foam - for kid's bounce or zipline? (Brunswick/Glenwood Basin)
Expired
Five foam cushions (used but clean) from chairs and couches that became too soft for our taste. Could be used for young children's rooms or as padding for a zipline finish when strapped to a tree. They are all clean, from non-smoking, no-pets home, but three of them (two couch cushions in the dry cleaning bag at front of photo, and the back right cushion) have residue from the polyester batting that was lightly glued to their tops and bottoms, so you'd probably want to cover those. Located in town, off Brunswick to Nevada City Highway behind SaveMart shopping Center

9 empty glass spice bottles (Brunswick/Glenwood Basin)
Expired
Nine spice bottles just waiting for you to save tons of money by filling them with your favorite herbs and spices from the bulk jars at BriarPatch or Natural Selection. A few may need you to paste a new label overtop of old one. Located behind SaveMart shopping center off Nevada City Highway. I can leave on front porch bench for you to swing by, hop out and pick them up, and keep going.
