French Sorrel Plants (edible) (Parson's Heath CO4)
Promised
3d
- Hi folks, I'm offering some French Sorrel rooted plants. My sorrel produces leaves all year & even in the winter. I eat sorrel instead of & in addition to lettuce, raw & in salads / sandwiches - yum. Sorrel has proved far more resistant to slugs or snails than lettuce & crops far more heavily throughout the year. It also appears to be perennial, so it may feed you for life. What on earth is sorrel, I hear you say? "The edible bright green leaves of French Sorrel have an acidic flavour which is reduced on cooking. It can be used in salads, fish dishes and soups. It will grow to a height of about 60cm. Please bring a bag to take the plants. Regards, John.

I'll dig up one each for you, please bring a bag. Don't expect fruit for the first 5-years, after that you may know what they are - lol. If you want a micro-orchard, then you have to start somewhere. Budding Fruit Tree Prunnings (Parson's Heath CO4)

- Hi folks, I've got 2x remaining of "Budding Fruit Tree Prunnings" that I suspect will root & grow if planted & watered. If you look at the pics very carefully, you'll see the tight spherical green buds. They are from heavy prunnings of last autumn. I don't know whether they are Green Gage, Green Plum, or Cherry; as I'd pruned all three at the same time, so this is a lucky-dip - lol. Given the price of soft-fruit trees in a garden center, these may well be worth a try. Location: Colchester, Parsons Heath, CO4 area. Regards, John.

- Hi again folks, I've got a large cardboard box offered for maybe packing or moving. It's currently flattened & in new condition. It originally had a medium size chest freezer unit within. The dimensions are approx. H25" x W34" x D27". It has an open base, but if someone wants a closed base, simply just cut the edges by 11" & make neat folds. Obviously then the height would be reduced by that 11". Maybe you'd just like to make a toddlers Wendy house out of it - lol? They'd have great fun. Collection from Parsons Heath / CO4 area. Regards, John.
