Free: Old Computer Books On Website Building (Matlock DE4) I'm offering many old computer books, covering a variety of subjects. These date from 1990s into early 2000s so, whilst they cover the basic technologies, they are not up to date with all the modern stuff. For example the book on CSS only covers v2.1. Free: Computer workstation (Matlock DE4) As shown. The various horizontal pieces rotate about the central column. Computer equipment for illustration only! It's a long time since I put it together but I believe it can come apart for easier transportation. Collection from Matlock at a time to suit you.

Free: Wired headset for PC or laptop (Matlock DE4) Labtec lva-8525 Headphones and microphone headset to allow hands free communication. As can be seen in the picture the headphones no longer have their foam pads but these can be obtained very cheaply from the internet. The headphones have a volume control and the microphone has a mute button. Perfect for use during online meetings, conference calls, online chats or even gaming. They claim to have noise cancelling and amplification technology version 2 (NCAT2). Collection from Matlock at a time to suit you.

Free: Netgear 9dbi Omnidirectional Antenna, Ant-2409 (Matlock DE4) Withdrawn This is an indoor/outdoor antenna designed to enhance the range and performance of wireless (802.11 b/n/g) devices. It works by amplifying the signal strength of your wireless network, allowing you to extend the coverage and reliability of your network. It comes with a cable to connect it to a wireless access point but nothing else (mounting kit, docs, etc), although documentation, installation details, etc can be found online. I've never used it so can't guarantee what (if anything) it will do for you but if it might be of use, it's available for collection from Matlock. NB. I've seen these for sale on the interweb for over £100 but equally for as little as £25.

Free: Two battery powered lights (Matlock DE4) Gifted These are working and take 4 AA batteries. Can be hooked on a screw/nail/hook in the wall to give some illumination in those awkward spaces. Take one or both. Collection from Matlock.

Free: 12v 5" Fan (Matlock DE4) Originally taken from a desktop computer but maybe someone can repurpose this. In the past I've provided such a thing to a beekeeper who wanted to provide cooling/ventilation to a hive. This needs a 12v DC power supply which I can also provide though you'd need to sort out connecting the two together! Collection from Matlock at your convenience.

Free: apc cs 350 ups (Matlock DE4) Gifted This provides an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) in the event of power cut to allow time to close down your computer. Believe to be working but I'm unable to test it since the battery is now dead. A new battery can be found on eBay for under £18. Collection from Matlock.

Free: Swisstec 15" TV/Monitor (Matlock DE4) Model SW1-S15/2NG and proclaimed itself to be a 15" LCD TV RECEIVER. This has in the past been used to receive TV via it's RF input socket but whether there's anything being broadcast for this older technology, I can't say. More usefully it can be used as a monitor for a computer or CCTV system or maybe a games console, featuring SCART and VGA inputs, S-video, audio and RCA. If this is of use to you then it can be collected from Matlock.

Free: HP Scanner G3010 (Matlock DE4) Tested and checked to ensure that it works OK, both on Windows 7 and Windows 10. Also features a facility to scan film and slides. Comes with power adapter and USB cable but no software or manual although these can be found on the HP support web site. Note that no drivers are listed for Windows 10 but I found the Windows 7 driver works fine. Drivers are also available for MacOS. Collection from Matlock

Free: Philips DTR500 Set Top Digibox (Matlock DE4) Withdrawn I've not tested this but I've no reason to believe it doesn't work. It's been hiding in the back of my office for many years! No manual but it's available on the internet. or:: Uses SCART to connect to TV and VCR. Includes remote but the battery cover is missing. If anyone can make use of this, it's available for collection from Matlock at your convenience.

Free: Business card storage files (Matlock DE4) Withdrawn Is your collection of business cards being out of control? In which case these could help. Two business card files as shown in the picture (ruler is just for scale!). The smaller one holds 30 and the larger holds 64. If you can make use of either of both they're available for collection from Matlock.

Free: "Giant reference card for the BBC micro" (Matlock DE4) Withdrawn Just in case anyone has a still working BBC micro, this reference card contains a variety of information which I hope you'll be able to see from the first picture. Available for collection from Matlock

Free: Brother DCP-J140W inkjet printer/scanner (Matlock DE4) Gifted This is quite a good (in is day) inkjet printer which can be connected by WiFi or USB cable (included) and was my inkjet printer for some time until it was replaced with an A3 one. When I tried it, the printing was rather blurred but I think this is just down to the print heads needing a good clean. It comes with 2 spare magenta and 1 spare cyan cartridge and has installed a full set of non-empty cartridges but some of those are getting low. There's no user manual but this can be found on the internet. Collection at your convenience from Matlock.

Free: Sonic line CY-668 audio transmitter for car (Matlock DE4) Promised The idea with this device is that you plug it into some audio source (eg. MP3 player, phone, etc), set it to transit on a frequency of your choice then tune your car radio to that frequency to hear the original audio through your car's speaker system. It comes with its user guide and it's powered by 2xAAA batteries. It used to be able to be powered with a special cable but I think that's long gone. If anyone would like this, it's available for collection from Matlock.

Free: Retro Sharp font writer personal word processor (Matlock DE4) Gifted If you're a lover of all things retro I'm offering this. It's a fully working 'Sharp font writer personal word processor'. Fw-560 It comes with manuals and 5 packs of spare printer ribbons (2 per pack). I've tended to use it in the past when I've got address label to print but it's too much of a faff and I need the space! Or you can pick one up from eBay for around £150! Collection from Matlock

Free: Wall mounted Paper store/filling tray (Matlock DE4) Withdrawn This has been used for many years to hold my various stocks of papers but can be used just as well as a filling tray. The advantage is that it can be wall mounted with just a couple of screws. All mounted.

Free: Vax HH-12V handheld vac (Matlock DE4) Gifted In working order and includes filter, charger, dusting brush, crevice tool, instructions and box. Not very powerful - it's powered by a 12v rechargeable battery but may be useful for those little clean-up jobs. Free: Rexel comb binder (Matlock DE4) Gifted This device punches slits in your paper and then it's used to apply a comb binder to form a booklet. Includes *lots* of combs and instruction booklet. Collection from Matlock.

Free: Small Form Factor Computer Base Unit - Linux (Matlock DE4) Gifted Originally supplied by CCL, the box is approx 29 x 24 x 14cm. It's currently running Linux Zorin, one of the most Windows like Linux distributions there is! It supports USB3 and has VGA, DVI and HDMI outputs, it also has a WiFi card installed. Technical details are, CPU: Intel i3 at 3.07GHz, HDD: 500GB, RAM: 4GB, OS: Zorin 17.2 core. If you need a keyboard and/or mouse, let me know - I have at least one of each (wired) spare. If you need a monitor, check out my other posts! Free to a good home, collection from Matlock generally at a time to suit you.
