On squeezing this ball one can feel that the rubber is perishing, hence no point in trying to repressurise it. Basically it’s had it as a tennis ball but I thought I’d offer it whilst offering the other items in case someone can make use of it

Just one of these up for grabs I’m afraid, but still hoping someone local is able to make good use of this ball. It’s of a type designed not to be pressurised, instead getting its bounce from a slightly thicker rubber layer

Tennis balls - felt not A1, but pressurised (Old Town SG1)
Small quantity of repressurised tennis balls available. The felt is not perfect - not possible to make out the brand names - but they have been repressurised back up to match pressure, hence their bounce should be up to scratch. When requesting a quantity, please bear in mind that they will gradually start to lose pressure again as soon as they are handed over - just like new balls when removed from their pressurised container - so please only request as many as you can use before their pressure goes too low again

See off mosquitoes for free! Has been mounted on wall for years, hence well weathered, but has never been inhabited because of being mounted too low. Please check your proposed location is suitable before putting in for this item, so that my mistake is not repeated! Basically it needs to be mounted pretty high up. Ideally East facing so as to catch early morning sunlight.

I’m needing to regularly lift an old drain cover/manhole cover and am worried about damaging it by lifting it all the time without the right tool. Drain cover is at least 40 years old but could be 85 years old. The thing I’m looking for works like a simple key, insert the handle into the slot, rotate 90 degrees and then lift

Put garden waste in at the top, raise the panel and extract the compost at the bottom. Lid can be held securely in place. Cracked in one corner as per photos. Haven’t tried to dismantle it so don’t know whether the bolts are seized. Looking to agree a collection time well in advance. Collection from Old Town or Bedwell.

Carefully chose this mower 36 years ago for its wide 15” cut. The impeller has a split which has gradually worsened. I used it yesterday but have reached my comfort limit and have decided I will not use it anymore. To keep using it you’d really need a new impeller that I’ve been quoted over £50 for - if it’s available at all. Or maybe you’re good with glue and could keep it going that way. If you’ve got the identical model then this could be handy to have for spares. Somewhere I also have the adapter for using plastic blades, if that’s of interest. Feel free to ask about specific parts as some bits are getting ropey and others are just fine. Or finally there are a number of generic parts that could be of use with other Flymo models.
