Free: Empty half-crate / pallet, 400kg rated (Southborough TN4) Gifted 105 x 114 x 80 cm Before I break this down for scrap wood, is it any use to anyone intact? It came with 400kg of firewood on it so should be good for that weight. Some very slight damage (see last pic.)

Free: Single mattress, good condition (Southborough TN4) Expired Approx 6'3" x 3' / 190cm x 90cm - good condition. Very old but has barely been used for about 30 years so should be very well aired (has been kept indoors.) I'm sort of resigned to this going to tip, but if anyone wants it before I get around to doing a trip, let me know!

Free: Single bed and mattress (Southborough TN4) Gifted Single bed and mattress, frame is approximately 98cm wide, 202cm long, 89cm total height (base for mattress is about 30cm off the ground.) This is very old (it was my brother's bed back in the 80s!) but has been basically unused for about 30 years, so the mattress is very well aired. Obviously it may well not meet modern fire safety standards - I can go looking for a label if it's important to anyone. There is some slight damage to the wood around one of the screw holes (see 5th picture.) The head and foot frames are now detached and the frame has been stored in the (dry) garage for a few months. All screws, concealed nuts, etc are provided. The mattress has been kept inside. Ideally for minimal hassle it would be good if the frame and mattress went together, but if anyone wants just one or the other do get in touch. If I don't get a response in a week or two I'll post them again as separate items, but don't feel you have to wait until then!

Free: Damaged chair for restoration/upcycling project etc (Southborough TN4) Expired This has a few broken joints and a cracked corner, so needs more TLC than we have time / energy to give it, but we think it's a nice piece of furniture otherwise and can't bring ourselves to take it to the tip! So if anyone enjoys restoring / upcycling older furniture it's all yours, would love to see it go to a good home :)

Free: Mirror, ~ 335mm x 1150mm (Southborough TN4) Gifted Approx 335mm x 1150mm, in reasonable condition, there's one significant scratch that basically runs the width, but it's very thin, I don't think it would show if you weren't looking for it. Has been stored in attic for years which is reasonably dry, there's maybe a slight touch of rust I assume from some of the mounting clips. The paintwork is a little crazed / distressed but arguably that gives it character!

Free: Children's paddling pool (unopened/unused) (Southborough TN4) Gifted My brother sent this to me as a half-joking present during last summer's heat wave, but at the advanced age of 45 I think I'm unlikely to use it! I know weather has been rubbish this summer, but as it seems to be picking up a little, I thought this should go to a good home :)

Free: Will split: Assorted fluorescent tubes (Southborough TN4) Expired OK, not surprisingly not a great rush of enthusiasm on these, so I will happily split them up and give away individual tubes if they're any use to anyone? Random selection of small-ish fluorescent tubes that were removed from our under-cupboard fittings in the kitchen when I upgraded them to LED (plus one found lurking on top of the cupboards that's probably an antique!) They were working when removed but have been stored in the (dry) garage for 9-12 months. I always get a little confused by fluor tube model numbers, but these seem to be: 1 x L16W/25 2 x L8W/640 1 x L13W/640 1 x FT8 30W 830 and one that I think is a 16W T8, ~720mm long, 25mm dia cap (ignore the fact that one of the tubes is in a green box that says LED tube, it's not!) I've also got the removed fittings which I'll post as a separate listing in a minute.

Free: Polarizing sunglasses + case (Southborough TN4) Gifted I can't wear contact lenses any more so I can't use these now. They're in pretty good condition and definitely help more with glare than non-polaroid sunglasses when driving. With any luck the summer will improve and make them useful to somebody!

Free: Fluorescent light fittings (Southborough TN4) Expired These are a bit manky but I thought I'd offer them for a day or two before they go in the WEEE pile. I think they are: 1 x T5 8W (~30cm long) 1 x T5 13W (~52.5cm long) 1 x T8 16W (?? - ~73cm long) I think all are old fashioned electromagnetic ballasts - they're certain heavy enough. They were working when removed but I think they need some flex wiring into them - I /think/ the strain reliefs are inside but not 100% sure.

Free: 4GB DDR4 SODIMM (laptop-style RAM memory) (Southborough TN4) Gifted Recently removed from an Intel NUC home server, "4GB DDR4-2666 SODIMM 1.2V CL19." SODIMMs are more commonly used in laptops, so might be a useful upgrade for someone. Given the size I'm happy to stick it in a jiffy bag and post it as well if it would keep a car off the road for a few miles!

Free: Used, working, Fireangel optical smoke alarm, exp. Feb 2029 (Southborough TN4) Expired Not sure about the ethics of this one so mods / admins please delete if you don't feel appropriate. This is a used but (to the best of our knowledge) working Fireangel optical smoke alarm, with a marked replacement date of Feb 2029. Removed as we have upgraded to mains powered alarms, immediately stored in plastic bag to avoid contamination. No known faults, false alarms etc. No known incidents which might have contaminated the sensor. Horn sounded OK when last tested. Supplied with original mounting plate and screws (though you might want to find alternative screws, I think the heads are a bit mangled.) If anyone's interested I can probably dig out the instructions if I search deeply enough in the kitchen drawers!

Free: Powerline home network extenders (pair) (Southborough TN4) Gifted 2 x TP-Link TL-PA211 powerline networking adapters, max theoretical speed 200Mb/s. These allow you to send network signals over your house's electrical wiring, avoiding having to run a dedicated ethernet cable. Possibly useful if you have poor wi-fi coverage, but note these are ethernet input/output only, there's no built-in wifi. You could connect one to an existing broadband router and the other to a smart TV, desktop PC, or laptop with ethernet port; alternatively you could connect the second to a "wireless access point" or repurposed spare home router to extend your wifi. In real world use you'd probably get 20-30Mb/s out of these - it very much depends on your house's wiring, local interference sources, etc. These are already paired to work with each other, so shouldn't need configuring. If you do need to change settings it's just possible the admin password has been changed at some point, but I assume there's a way of resetting them to default settings.
