Free: 90cm Range Cooker Hood (Skerton LA1) This is a Belling CHIM90 Cooker Hood about 15 years old but the 'farmhouse' design hasn't changed much. Was working last week when removed. 90 cms wide; 49cms deep. Comes with plug for a standard 3 pin socket. Three grease filters (dishwashable). Three fan speeds and two lights at rear. Pushbutton switches on front edge. The vent is 120mm to attach to an external venting kit if needed. It will do internal recirculation but requires additional charcoal filters. There is a short (23cms high) section of original chimney cowl (see left of photos) available and separately I have an unused 40cms section of black cowl that is slightly narrower but could potentially be combined. Straightforward to fit. Original "Installation and User's instructions" booklet with it. NOTE: 1) This will need a thorough clean and degrease. I have done the front but not the sides or the inside. Suggest bringing some newspaper or similar to protect your car when picking it up. 2) The motor is quite powerful and consequently quite noisy on the most powerful speed setting.

Free: Small CD player and DAB Radio (Skerton LA1) Gifted Goodmans DAB600 DAB CD Micro System CD Player, DAB Radio, Manual and Remote Control. Has a timer function to use as an alarm clock (wake up to music / the news). Headphone socket for a 3.5mm jack. Player is 6" high/ 5" wide/ 9" deep Speakers are lightweight - 3W power, 6" high/ 4.5" wide/ 8" deep and have 1.45m speaker wire attached, so the speakers can be positioned up to ca. 3m apart Suitable for putting on bookshelves or a mantelpiece. I have tested it today (played a CD, listened to the radio) with the Remote and it all works. I recommend switching it off at the wall when not in use as the 'standby' still uses some residual power. Fair offer applies.

Free: Automatic Bean to Cup Coffee Machine (Skerton LA1) Gifted De Longhi ESAM 4200.S - see for details and manual. We got this as a refurbished model and have had it for at least 5 years in daily use. It is therefore 'well used' (last coffee produced earlier today), but it still produces OK coffee and steams milk. However, it has a very slight leak so needs to be operated on a waterproof work surface. We mop under it once a week. It also requires a bit more internal cleaning on a regular basis as the grounds don't always confine themselves to the waste hopper. Like most automatic bean to cup machines it doesn't produce super hot coffee, so if you like lip-blistering drinks this won't satisfy you. Would particularly suit someone with the time to take it apart and refurbish it with new gaskets/pipes. See, for example: / for work on a similar machine. Unfortunately I haven't the time to do this, hence is being replaced and freegled.

Free: Pixma Inkjet cartridges (Skerton LA1) Gifted Two multi-cartridge boxes are Inkredible replacement cartridges for Canon CLI-570 (Black) and 571 (Colours). These came from a Pixma MG5750 but fit some others. 9 cartridges in all. Had no problem with Inkredible replacement cartridges and, unusually for replacement ink suppliers they accept empty Inkredible cartridges for recycling. But maybe easier to use local Curry's which I think accepts used cartridges for recycling.

Free: Plasma Ball educational toy (Skerton LA1) Gifted Plasma Ball educational toy with ca. 5" globe. Comes with original transformer putting out 12v / 1000mA into the Tesla Coil at the centre See for something very similar. Fun to watch - the electrical arc tendrils constantly move around the inside of the globe and strengthen when you touch the outside of the globe. Safe in normal use - can confirm there is no sensation to your fingers, even though electrons are coming through. Here is a really good explanation of the physics involved and experiments that you can do with it [Parents note the safety advice in this video]

Free: IKEA Smila Mane Yellow Moon Wall Light for Child's bedroom (Skerton LA1) Gifted This comes with a working E14 (small screw) 7W fluorescent bulb. Maximum allowed = 25W. Gives a pleasant warm yellow light - more even than the photo. Secures directly to the wall using three screws (you'll need to do this yourself). As with all lights with flexes in a child's bedroom, the flex must be secured to the wall to prevent accidental strangulation. I had this wired in permanently to a wall switch so there was no trailing flex. I have rejoined an original flex, torpedo switch and plug with a 3 Amp fuse so people have the option of using as it is or wiring it to a permanent fitting.
