Comes with European Sleepworks mattress. Cost $600 when we got it, and it still does today, I just checked their website. Very nice mattress, in very good condition. Child who used the bed was very small/light until the last couple of years, even then not much over 100lbs. Absolutely no fleas, bedbugs, lice, pets or smoking in the household. Not used for the past 4 years.
