Colour-Change Bubble Lamp with Fish (Hendon, London NW4)
“Wicked Gizmos” 90cm Colour Changing LED Bubble Lamp with Fish and Bubbles - with five coloured plastic fish 90cm high, 9cm wide. You can see full descriptions on eBay where these are being sold. Lovely soothing bubble motion which gets the plastic fish “swimming” up and down in the water as the light changes colour. I got it for my son (he was turning 21 when I got it it for him) who’s autistic, and he likes it, but I love it. The lady who sold it to me had a 5-year-old son. It makes a constant motor-noise. If you contact me then I can send you a little video. It’s great for people who like white noise, and it’ll be horrible for people who don’t. The changing colours and the fish are really soothing. The water needs to be changed every so often, every week, or less if you treat it with something to deter the growth of algae, bacteria and fungi. Also it helps if you run it every so often, to oxygenate the water. This one was bought secondhand, but it’s working fine. I’m giving it away because we were given another light-box which my son preferred; I didn’t have the space for it; and it was a nuisance changing the water each week. But I was online looking for the instruction sheet, and my chatbot has found me lots of ways to keep the water fresh without changing it weekly - although I still prefer the simple way. As we enter summer, changing the water is no big deal for anyone who has a garden. It’ll be good to splosh some water on the garden every week in the summer months. In the winter one can use it to flush the loo. My chatbot also reckons that the central brown bit at the bottom, just a few mm in diameter, isn’t rusty but is supposed to be that colour. It’s the bit that sends bubbles out through the water. It does work fine. I’ve printed out a new home-made instruction sheet, for whomever takes this, because I lost the one that came wirh this. Also I’ve stuck a bag to the main cylinder, with the power cable and transformer and the bag containing five plastic fish whose tails wiggle side-to-side. This might be perfect as a novelty toy for a child who likes looking at changing lights and needs a bit of calming during the halfterm break when their routines are all out of sync. Please note that I don’t check messages on Friday evening or Saturday.
