book: Sudden death explained to small kids in simple words (Gilmerton EH17)
specific book: IS DADDY COMING BACK IN A MINUTE? Explaining (sudden) death in words very young children can understand. ''This honest, sensitive and beautifully illustrated picture book is designed to help explain the concept of death to children aged 3-7. Written in Alex's own words, it is based on the real-life conversations that Elke Barber had with her then three-year-old son, Alex, after the sudden death of his father. The book provides reassurance and understanding to readers through clear and honest answers to the difficult questions that can follow the death of a loved one, and carries the invaluable message that it is okay to be sad, but it is okay to be happy, too.'' This is an older model (pre 2018) but still perfectly working, 3 light levels adjustable-by-touch daylight lamp with a leg/stand. Traditional plug in, the lamp's neck and two arms are both adjustable to various positions - it truly is like daylight! Or like a rainy day if you use the lowest light level :) Not suitable for small children's rooms or for tossing prone folks but otherwise very reliable. Apple eMac PowerPC G4 1.25GHz 512MB RAM 80GB HDD (Alnwickhill EH16)
Apple eMac, with the following specs: - PowerPC G4 1.25GHz CPU - 512MB RAM (DDR SDRAM, 1 stick, leaving 1 slot free) - Built-in CRT display and 32MB VRAM - 80GB HDD (Western Digital) - Fresh install of Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) - Serial number VM51500HSCF This is an ex-school machine, and as such as various scuffs and markings from school use. It was in use until the late 2000s, when the school upgraded to more modern machines and these older ones were sold off to pupils. It has the name/address of the school marked permanently on the top and bottom of the machine. I have installed a fresh copy of Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger), my personal favourite OS for PowerPC G4 Macs. When I received it the front DVD drawer was missing. I replaced it, however the replacement is a slightly different shade of white (due to difference in age / yellowing). It's not that noticeable to my eyes. When testing it, I noticed a possible display issue - there is a slight halo affect to the right of graphical objects such as the mouse cursor, windows and pop-ups. I have tried to capture this in the pictures but it doesn't come across well on camera. The display isn't the brightest but this has always been the case since I've owned it. Although it is functioning now, I offer no guarantees - it's now around 20 years old! Only the eMac itself and a standard (non-Apple) "kettle lead" power cable are included - no other accessories. I am giving away because I need the space. Unfortunately if there is no interest it will be scrapped.
