- Gardeners! Landscapers! I have a big pile of lavender scallops I pulled up in my yard. Easy to grow. Many of the branches still have roots and many of the lower stems have also put out runner roots to anchor in the ground and spread. Take as much as you can. Pile includes cuttings and branches that can be transplanted as well as dead wood and some weeds I dug up, but it'll be pretty easy to just pick out the good branches.

- I bought this at a house sale but never used it. It is a 100% cotton batting quilted comfortor that is meant to be inside a comforter cover. It will need gentle laundering (not certain how it will hold up if not washed on gentle). Rather than throw it into the landfill I thought a creative person might find it useful. Location: South Berkeley near Ashby and Telegraph (near Whole Foods Market) The photo shows it folded up inside a plastic bag.
