Binocular dissecting microscope (Spring Hill, Somerville)
This microscope came from a local university when they were upgrading their bio lab. The magnification ranges from 15x to 30x. It's a binocular microscope (you use both eyes, and can get a sense of depth) for use on objects that aren't mounted on slides (the focal length is something like 8 inches). This is *not* portable desktop equipment that you can just take out as needed; it needs to be mounted to something. It is heavy, and the 4.5" wide head is attached to a pivot on a 20" long 1-1/4" swing arm. Getting this attached to a table will require some creative use of clamps, or possibly woodworking skills. ...but it produces a gorgeous, clear image and would be great for naturalists or electronics hackers.

Upright Yamaha Piano (Waban)
Full size upright (52 inch tall by 60 inches wide and 25 inches deep). I purchased in 2016 used from a piano company, but I believe the piano was manufactured around 1997. It is in excellent cosmetic condition. The piano is definitely playable, but there are some mechanical issues based on a recent inspection that you should be aware of: (1) the tuning pins are becoming loose which means you may need more frequent tuning [it is not worth the cost to repair/replace the tuning pins] and (2) the key action can be improved with repairs [some keys do not strike perfectly]. This is a great piano for someone learning to play, but perhaps not yet ready to spend thousands of dollars on a new piano. Piano comes with bench. You have to arrange pick-up. Moving cost and major tune-up might cost you $500 to $1000. Please make sure you get your own cost estimates.
