I’m hoping that some creative, resourceful person will have an idea to put these strong bags to good use. They are approximately 15.75 inches wide and about 17 inches from bottom to the zip closure. They have a smallish gusset at the bottom. Please surprise me with something that I didn’t think of.

For many years, I've used this upside-down basket to support my book stand – so I can read while I eat (because I live alone). But now it's starting to fall apart, and I'd like to replace it ... hoping somebody here can suggest something?! My ideal would be a plain wooden box, with a flat top, about 6-8" high, and roughly a foot across. Such a box should be nice enough for my dining table (or at least not too wretchedly scruffy). I might possibly find something decorative at a fancy home-goods store ... but it would likely be expensive! Any suggestions (or boxes) gratefully received. Thanks, A.
