Retractable baby gate (St Albans AL1)
Grey retractable baby gate. It needs to be screwed in. The retractable but has never worked very well (in terms of retracting itself) but will roll up when you do it manually. Grey material that comes across. We found this useful as the width of our stairs and depth didn't work with all the other baby gates we tried. In used condition.

Chocolate mint, hyssop, pretty sage (Hatfield AL10)
A few pots of: - chocolate mint (smells of mint choc chip ice cream) - hyssop (toothpasty) - green & yellow variegated sage (for eating) These are all perennial edible-ornamental herbs. Please say which you want - normally I like to split to make more people happy but it will depend on demand. The hyssop smells minty but is not mint. You can use the leaves as herbs or tea but mostly I grow it as an ornamental because of its beautiful electric-blue flowers which are very good for pollinators and keep their colour well after the flowers have gone over. It is hardy but slugs sometimes decide to go for it a bit in spring so sometimes it doesn't come back. The mint it bullet proof and that sage always survives for me. Don't let the mint loose in your flower beds unless you're sure you want it. The others are fine.

Verbascum plants (Hatfield AL10)
Great mullein aka verbascum thapsus is a large native biennial producing strong, long lasting impressive spikes of yellow flowers in the summer, beloved of insects as you can see. It also has beautiful velvety soft downy leaves. Self seeds, but not a problem. The flower spike is very strong and doesn't need staking. Wants full sun and sharp draining stony ground. It delighted in the drought this year, but in normal years I have wet sticky clay for a lot of the year and it does fine in that too. These photos in flower are from previous years - what you would get is healthy young plants growing as rosettes. I think I've given away all the ones I potted up but I have some plants which came up in the veg bed (see last photos). Biennial means these plants will flower next year. You have to plant them now, keep them watered until the rains come, and then they will be fine on their own.
