Request: Large Amounts Of Wool (Wirksworth DE4) Wanted Large Amounts Of Wool MHI have a small team of ladies that create Crochet items for us to sell using donated wool. Money raised from this is now allowing us to set up various types of groups in Wirksworth and surrounding areas, to support the mental health of the community. On top of this, MHI & Wild Roots Creative have teamed up to start a new Crochet, Knitting and general crafts group, Starting Soon in Wirksworth. We are looking for large donations of wool, to help set us keep our fundraising going and support the creative group. If you have any wool you are happy to donate, please do get in touch with what you have and we can collect, as long as you’re not too far from Wirksworth, depending on amount. Thank you for your continued support of MHI. Great things coming, watch this space.

Free: Metal obelisk/climbing support (Belper Town centre) Promised Lightweight grey metal obelisk. I used it for supporting climbing plants and green beans. It pushes into the ground to keep it firm. It is very lightweight, but has never blown over. I'm only replacing it as I had a heavier one for Christmas. I noticed when I took it out of my vegetable bed that it needs a screw and washer on one of the legs, but it holds okay without. I've no idea how long it's been like it and I've looked in the compost without success. Collection from Belper town centre. Thanks for looking.

Free: Concrete floor beams (Hearthstone DE4) Varied length and condition, some new and unused, some have sat around for a while. They have a T-shape profile and are reinforced with steel rods running through them. Mostly about 4-5 foot long. I think there are about 28 of them, but a few are damaged. Could be used to make the base for a shed or garden building, with or without breeze blocks in between. Could potentially also be used for edging a lawn or flowerbed, or cut to size for use as lintels where there is not a large amount of weight to bear. For collection from Riber, Matlock. They are quite heavy, so if you want quite a lot of them you'd need to be physically fit to load them and have a vehicle that could carry a heavy load.

Free: Slates (Hearthstone DE4) Varied pieces of old roofing slate, sized from about a4 down to fragments. Larger pieces could be used to draw on, or they could be broken up to be a decorative covering on a water feature or flower bed. We've probably got a wheelbarrow full, but you'd need to be able to pick them up and have a container to take them away in. For collection from Riber, near Matlock.

Free: Tile offcuts - beige (Hearthstone DE4) We've got quite a few beige floor/wall tile pieces that have been left over after doing our kitchen floor. They have a sort of streaked pattern, as shown in the photo (I think it was called sand storm). Some are A4 size or larger, some are smaller. None are a whole tile. Some are broken tiles, others are where a corner or edge has been cut off. Could be used for a mosaic or craft project of some kind, or used to tile a small area that doesn't need a precise grid. For collection from Riber, near Matlock.

Free: Old brown ceramic pipe sections (Hearthstone DE4) I'm offering some chunks of old brown ceramic drainage pipes. They are heavy, damaged in places, and not fit for use in modern drainage. However, they might be handy if you need to replace an old part. They are also very interesting looking, so if you have some creative idea of how they could be repurposed, they might make something striking - perhaps a garden sculpture? There are a few straight segments in varying condition, and the tap-shaped one. For collection from Riber, near Matlock
