Hi everyone, I hope it’s okay for me to post this here. I’m reaching out because I’m in a situation where I could really use some kindness and support from the local community. I am a single mum with my baby, and after having to leave our previous situation because of domestic violence, we have been living in temporary accommodation while trying to rebuild our lives. We have now been offered a permanent home in Shildon, which I am incredibly grateful for. This home means so much to us because it gives my baby and me the opportunity to finally have some stability and start again. However, because we had to leave everything behind and because we are currently struggling financially, we are starting almost from scratch. It is going to take time for us to get the basic things we need for our new home. If anyone in the Shildon area has any unwanted or spare household items, furniture, kitchen items, bedding, baby items, curtains, storage, or anything else that could help us make our new house into a home, we would be incredibly grateful. Even something small would make a huge difference to us. Please don't feel that you need to buy anything — second-hand, unwanted or unused items would be absolutely appreciated. I know everyone has their own circumstances, so there is absolutely no pressure. I am simply reaching out because we are trying our best to rebuild our lives, little by little, and any kindness from the community would mean more to us than I can explain. Made of strong fabric with nylon lining. Two main compartments, one of which has a divider across the centre, and it’s possible to clip one section closed. Two flap pockets on one side, a row of mesh pockets on the long side. Fully open it measures approx 60cm long and 40cm wide. Folded flat it measures 40cm x 26cm x 8cm Weekend collection preferred. Armchair and double recliner in good condition, but with some wear on l/h recliner seat and armrest. Each side of recliner operates separately- mechanical, not electrically powered. Recliner 175cm length left to right, 105cm width front to back, 88cm height. Armchair 112cm length, 105cm width, 88cm height. Both are two-person lifts.

Not sure how old it is, but was last used in tha 1960s. It used to take a till roll, which advances when you open the drawer (you used to have to write the amount on it), and it makes a satisfying loud ding noise when opened. It needs a really good clean and there’s no key for it. I wondered if it might be of interest to a collector of vintage stuff? Weekend collection preferred. Fluorescent Tube LED Replacements (Durham Peninsula DH1)
These LED tubes are designed to be a direct replacement for standard fluorescent tubes, and include a replacement ballast/starter to account for the different behaviour of the LEDs. They are “daylight” colour tubes. I have 3 x 5ft tubes and 4 x 6ft tubes. They can either go separately or as a single lot. I live in the Durham congestion zone, and I’m happy to meet you somewhere just outside the zone so you don’t have to pay the charge.
