Hi, I’m looking for some way to protect my strawberries from squirrels - basically any structure made of wire mesh! If anyone has an old outdoor rabbit run that could be repurposed that would work very well, or if you have actual cloches or a fruit cage designed for the purpose that would be amazing also! Even insect screens could work, or old cooling racks! Thank you so much

Would anyone have an old dustbin lying in the garden ? Either plastic or metal would do nicely. It needs to have a sealed lid that covers the top of the bin. My old plastic one is for keeping compost dry, but with age, it's developed a crack in the lid, which is obviously going to let in all the rain we have forecast.

I'm currently living in an old motorhome for a month, in between houses, but the old mattress is killing my back and I can't afford a new one. I would be forever grateful for a comfortable, medium firm double mattress 190x140cm that's not very thick - ideally 15cm. Memory foam or similar. From a non-smoking home cause I'm allergic to smoke. But not to pets, thankfully. :-) So if you have recently bought a new bed and have a decent double mattress to dispose of, I can collect from anywhere in Edinburgh. Any time this week.
