Old/Broken Game Consoles for Club (Boston / Cambridge / Lynn)
Hello, does anyone happen to have an old Nintendo Gameboy / Gameboy Advance, they're not using or able to give away? (or any other old game console?) Me and my friends at my electrical-engineering based club at my school are trying to set up a gaming event where we're getting all of these consoles and show people the history of gaming, and how to fix some of these consoles. 3 white plastic tubes. Each is 45 inches long, with a diameter of a half-inch. They're not super-rigid (like a PVC pipe), but they're also not something you can bend in half (like a vacuum hose). 4 drawer Bluestein filing cabinet (Saugus)
Professional office metal filing cabinet from the Samuel Bluestein Company of Boston and Malden. 4 drawer model with two traditional file drawers (11 1/2 inch height) and two smaller half drawers (5 1/2 inch height) instead of a third file drawer. The file drawers included the metal support brackets for hanging files and a bunch of hanging file folders to give you a jump on getting stuff organized and filed away. The unit is 15 inches wide, 26 1/2 inches deep, and 40 inches tall. It's a solid and somewhat heavy item, built to last in a professional office setting. You will need a second person to help you load/unload this item. I purchased this many, many years ago from a previously famous "used office furniture" store (that I'm completely blanking on the name of) in either Allston or Brighton. When I bought this it was already a veteran of office use, with splotchy paint but great "bones". I stripped the top and sides and repainted them with a brush (I didn't want to use spray paint in a tight inside room), so there are some brush marks. Solid Hardwood table. Measures 30 inches tall, 60 inches wide, and 36 inches deep. Started as a kitchen table, then used as a casual table / craft table in the family room, and finally as a storage table in the garage. So it does have a few light scratches and dings. I had planned to strip and refinish it, but never got around to doing that. You can continue to use it as a casual table, storage table, or even a workshop table, or bring it back to life and make it a focus piece in your kitchen. There's also an extension cord that's about 30 feet long, with a detached plug. If I had to take a guess, this extension cord met its end by getting in the way of the hedge clippers.
