Lloyd Loom "Lusty" ottoman box (PO21 - Bognor Regis)

Original Lloyd Loom ottoman by Lusty (label inside), probably 1930s-50s, in yellow woven fibre with hinged padded lid and roomy storage inside — great as a blanket box, toy chest or end-of-bed storage. Structurally sound with good storage space, but showing its age: fabric on the lid is worn/frayed and the whole thing needs a refresh, so it's ideal for someone who fancies an upcycling project. These look fantastic cleaned up and repainted - "Lloyd Looms" take chalk/furniture paint really well. Approx. Dimensions 36" length x 16" width x 17"depth in - fits in most car boots. C ollection from Bognor Regis flexible on times. First to collect gets it! 🙂

Hardy Yucca logs (Havant PO9)
these are sections of the trunk of my Yucca plants. They can be grown in a (large) pot indoors but do best in the garden. The piece of log is planted in moist soil or compost and will take root and grow long, thin, green leaves. It will survive the winter and by next year will have rooted enough to need no protection from snow or sun. They can grow about a foot a year. Mine have grown over some years to about ten feet. They look rather like a palm tree with a bushy head of leaves at the top. Old leaves can be pulled off the stem when they go brown with age. Branches can be used for cuttings. More stems come from the base so you can have several trees if you want. Mine are four to six inches thick at the base. The stem does not go woody so they benefit from being against a wall so the wind doesn't bend them.
