Large White Tiles with a Complicated Past (Bridge of Allan FK9)
We have a box of large white tiles. At some point in their life, they were perfectly respectable tiles. Then someone painted them. Then… someone tiled over them. So while they’re not really suitable for actual tiling (unless you’re into extreme adhesion challenges), they are absolutely brimming with “character". Potential alternative uses include: Smash them artistically and create dramatic mosaic masterpieces. Use as plant pot bases. Garden stepping stones (abstract edition). Cat food bowl mats (for very stylish cats). Doorstops. Patio “rustic chic” experiments. Props for a low-budget DIY horror film. Therapy tiles – write your frustrations on them and dramatically throw them away (safely!) They’re solid, white(ish), and full of mystery layers — a bit like an archaeological dig, but flatter. Free to anyone brave, creative, or slightly unhinged. Collection only. Please bring your own containers and your sense of adventure.

Since retiring, I rarely wear tights. These are all in perfectly good condition, I have checked, but charity shops only want packaged ones. They are tan or dark brown/grey, medium size. JVC, model LT-40CF890, 40" Smart TV (EH6)
This was purchased retail from Currys, and acquired from the original purchaser. I cannot boot the above TV following a hard and soft boot. Following the replacement of the power board, and the main board, with no change there is a "splash screen" as indicated from the attached picture, but no main menu. During brief glimpses between flashes, menu options briefly appear, so this suggests the (original) motherboard is fine, it's obviously powering up (hence splash screen). With a network cable plugged in, advertising audio is audible with no corresponding picture. Sound does respond to volume up and down via the remote control. Could represent a repair prospect, my instinct is this is a software issue. Slowest reply wins. Cheers Mark
