These three volumes are dated - they were worldwide bestsellers in the late 1950s. Archaeology has made enormous advances since then but these books still make for riveting reading. Much recommended for young readers fluent in German. These books sparked my lifelong interest in archaeology and I'd love to pass them on to a curious reader.
