Light gray. Could use some upholstering due to kitten damage (see picture #3), but perfectly usable as is. Also there is a new pen mark on the cushion which I am confident will come out. Sigh, kittens and kids... We keep it plugged in, but if memory serves there is a battery in it that allows you to keep it unplugged for fairly long periods of time, depending of course on frequency of usage.
