I have personally replaced the rubber bottom tips on all of them with brand new ones from Amazon, so they have excellent grip and are completely safe to use. They are fully adjustable for height. It doesn't comply with the current fire regulations (it's too old); that's why I'm not asking for money. There are some scratches on the wood, but you'd expect this with old furniture. The legs are short, so the seat is quite low. The chair is probably about 40 years old.
