I think this is some sort of Macrame, crochet or finishing cord. It's fairly fine, maybe 1/2 mm. Found with a load of crochet materials from clearing my grandmother's loft so it is fairly old but good condition. Box of 12 unused rolls currently available, may separate.

From an old sofa bed. A few loose threads but they don't impact the integrity of the cushions. Also a couple of dog hairs got through the cushion covers but in good condition otherwise.

Lovely old wooden smokers chair. I took this apart years ago intending to reupholster it and it's still here. The back is covered in new canvas type material. If you didn't want to do a full job on the sprung seat you could put a piece of board and foam cushion on the seat.
