Friends, l'd like to ask for a little help. A family from Ukraine has recently arrived here, and they are currently finding things quite difficult financially. I'd really like to help them get settled with some of the basic things they need for their home. m. So l thought l'd ask here - perhaps some of you have things in good conditionthat you no longer use and would be happy to give away. Even one small item could make a real difference to this family right now. Here are some of the things they particularly need: ‹ A set of saucepans suitable for an electric hob • An office chair for a teenager, preferably height-adjustable A blender, mixer or any other kitchen appliance in working condition Bathroom accessories for soap, toothbrushes, etc. Any household electrical appliances or electronics that you no longer need • Perhaps someone has a bicycle they no longer use Laptop for studying any working condition If you have anything from this list, please message me and, if possible, send me a photo.

Antique Open Easy Chair – a period uphol (South Kensington SW7)
Victorian open easy chair in the style of Howard & Sons, with the proportions, construction and character associated with this maker. The chair has an open-arm design, with exposed, finely turned wooden arm supports and substantial square-section timber blocks beneath. The exposed mahogany-coloured timber features several stepped and moulded sections. The frame is in good condition and the castors are Cope & Collinson, a recognised maker of quality furniture fittings. The upholstery is worn in places and the seat springs require repair. Hence an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a period furniture project to restore with a fabric of their choice. Collection only from South Kensington, London.
