I am giving away a good condition desk of about 4 years, only used for 2 years (it costed over £200 at the time). The table size is approx 140cmx60cm. The drawer needs glueing back and we had to disassemble it into 4 pieces to bring it down the stairs.

I'm looking for any old pine kitchen tables. Damaged or broken is fine, I just need the tops for a reenactment project and it doesn't matter if it is broken, scratched, split, gouged. I need to make a sturdy mounting block for a knight in full armour to climb up onto his horse, so it needs to be reasonably thick wood. Armour is very heavy and its quite difficult getting onto a horse, while wearing it. Doesn't have to be a table, of course. If you have any old pieces of pinewood (or oak, or beech) that might do.... or an old mounting block you don't need any more? Thanks for looking. Can collect more or less any time to suit you.
