Hi Folks I am learning how to repair American antique mantle clocks. For my next repair project, I need to source an American 2-arbor clock, such as Ingraham, Session, Gilbert, Ansonia, Waterbury, etc. If anyone has one of these types of old wind up mechanical mantle clock that no longer works, I will try to fix or rebuild it for you. Thanks, Ann

If you have been planning on cleaning out your linen closet, I would appreciate anything you might want to discard. Thanks in advance!

Request:
Semi formal or proper formal attire (Ottawa)
We’re in a bind and I was wondering if anyone out there could please help? We just received an email notification, informing us, of a dress code for an event we’re attending this upcoming Thursday, that it’s semi-formal or proper formal. This has completely shocked us, as we simple assumed it was a casual event. Was wondering, if anyone happens to have something we could either borrow, or have, as there will be another event in June for which we have to dress up for. Looking for a (1) men’s suit size medium, (2) men's dress shoes size 11 as well as (3) a women’s dress size XL (preference full length or 3/4, dark color). Can pick up from anywhere. Thanks for your consideration.

Sewing machine for kids (Baseline and Clyde)
Promised
This was rescued from the trash and I tried to get it going but unsuccessfully. I’m giving it one more chance if someone knows how to fix something like this. NB it is not the batteries. There must be a computer chip in it or maybe a circuitry issue. There are screws that you can open it with. It is 6”x6”x4.5”.

Petgreens cat treats for digestion (Dow’s Lake)

Recently acquired. Salmon flavour treats with wheatgrass. The package has maybe half a dozen removed. Unfortunately my cat seems not at all interested in eating them, though they are excellent for floor hockey. Fair warning, they’re a bit smelly.

Free:
Electric Kettle (Civic Hospital)
Promised
Slightly defective (see below) Russel-Hobbs electric kettle to give away. Auto shut-off, lighted button, 1.7 litre capacity. Works very well. The kettle part lifts off the powered base so you need not worry about the power cord when pouring the hot water. The Kettle part sits on the base and when the button on the kettle is pressed, the base supplies power to the kettle to boil the water. The kettle may be freely rotated on the base. The defect is that for one 30 degree portion of the 360 degree rotation, the base makes intermittent contact with the kettle and the water does not heat up quickly. When the kettle is rotated out of this band, the kettle works fine. We have been using this for well over a year with the defect by just being careful to avoid the defective area. This is likely something that a squirt of contact cleaner or a little emery cloth on the contacts on the UNPLUGGED base and kettle will resolve.

Free:
Sperry duffle bag (Experimental Farm)
Good size Sperry duffle bag in good condition. Zipper works, shoulder strap is solid. The only slight issue is that the plastic liner has one 6 inch tear. Duct tape could take care of this easily. Rip shown in pics. It's wrinkled because it was in the back of my closet. Pick up on Attwood Cres

2d
Free:
silicone cup for massage therapy (Britannia)
Promised
A physiotherapist used one of these on my arthritic knee, and it seemed to help – so I bought my own version. It came in a pack of two, and this one is too large for that particular spot – I've never used it. (If you want to know how this thing works, just Google it. FYI, the pic showing a whole bunch of them is just for reference – I only have one to give away!)

2d
Free:
bathroom cabinet clearout (Britannia)
Various unwanted hair things from the depths: dry shampoo, brown spray cover-up for roots, mousse, and pump-action hairspray. Also sunscreen (though this isn't the season for it!), and cuticle remover. Some are unused, others are mostly full.
