Seven high-quality Ahrend 350 meeting chairs, available free from an architects’ office in Nottingham city centre. The Ahrend 350 is an award-winning designer range, recognised with both a Red Dot Design Award and a Good Industrial Design Award. These are very comfortable chairs, designed to provide support during long meetings, with elegant chrome cantilevered bases, a refined contemporary appearance and substantial commercial-quality construction. They would be well suited to a meeting room, studio, home office or creative reuse project. The chairs remain usable, but there is some damage and wear to the upholstery at the corners. They are therefore being offered as a project for someone who would like to repair, adapt or refresh them. This is a worthwhile circular economy opportunity to give seven well-designed, durable chairs a new life rather than sending them to waste. Collection details: Collection is from Nottingham city centre NG1 and must take place by Friday 7 August. Due to parking restrictions, collection is only available on working days during the following times: 9.00–10.00am; 4.30–6.30pm. A later evening collection may be possible for someone collecting all seven chairs. In line with Freegle’s Fair Chance Policy, the chairs will not necessarily be allocated to the first person who responds. Preference may be given to someone able to collect all seven within the stated timeframe. The seat cushions have flattened but we're including additional cushions to put underneath them for extra support. The sofa has been in a pet free, dry environment for several years. Aiwa AD-F450 Stereo Cassette Deck - not working (Barrow upon Soar LE12)
Top quality hi-fi stereo tape deck in its day. Bought many years ago and lightly used before being stored away in its original box. Powers up happily enough, but sadly it not longer works. The motor makes a noise but the tapes don't go around. I suspect the rubber drive belts have perished, but you can find replacements online. It seems a shame to throw it away when it probably just needs a new belt. Hopefully, someone would like to fix it up and get it working again.
