Free: Piano (Holly/spinet) (Grove Rd and Harris) Holly spinet piano (made by Grinnell Detroit). This piano is in good condition; tuned January 2025. We've owned it about 25 years; it plays well. Our four grown children all did their piano lessons on it. We are parting with it as we've decided that it takes up too much space in our smaller home. You will need to move it yourself and provide people for lifting, as my wife and I are not able to do that. You could also find a piano moving company to move it for you.

Free: Compostable produce baskets (Ann Arbor Northwest Side) Paper-pulp vented containers, great for holding even fragile produce like berries or tomatoes - also for crafts, drawer organizers, holding plants/seedlings with tight-packed soil, etc. As the photo shows, even the different sizes stack nicely. Some have slight staining. If in the future any gets too damaged to use, it can be torn up for mulch, or composted in backyard or city bin. Take as many as you like (including all). From a home with fragrance-free/nontoxic practices, freely available to anyone.

Free: Digital watch (works, broken band) (Ann Arbor Northwest Side) Black-plastic-and-metal Marathon water-resistant wristwatch with broken wristband. “Old-fashioned” in that it doesn’t connect to other devices (bonus: no surprise collection of personal data!). “New-fangled” in that it’s digital, shows day and date as well as time to the second, and has multiple settings. Watch part itself is sturdy, and still works great. As shown in the photos, unsuccessful attempts have been made to repair the wristband. If you just want the broken-off end with the metal clasp for some kind of project, that’s also possible. From a home with fragrance-free/nontoxic practices, freely available to anyone.

If anyone wants just the screenprinted part(s), I can cut those out whatever size/shape you’d like! Or take entire T-shirt(s). More details available about any of them, including nontoxic info. These came from a thrift store c. 2018, so they may have residues from that, but are MUCH better than conventional laundry products now! Free: Nontoxic cotton/polyester shirts (Ann Arbor Northwest Side) Any or all of these 3 shirts are free to anyone, with priority to those who need fragrance-free/nontoxic. (Note end for related info.) You can wear them as intended, make them into bags, use them for other projects. The photos make them look more hopelessly wrinkled than they are, and the green shirt looks more blue, but hopefully this can give a rough idea! They are all labeled “Adult small” but the T-shirts especially have fit larger. Contactless porch pick-up. Please indicate day and 30-minute time range (preferably July 2-6) that you could collect in. - 1 beige-and-light-blue three-quarter-length-sleeve shirt with picture of pandas under a rainbow that says underneath and on one sleeve “Washington, D.C.” ~50 years old, very soft and thin, 50% cotton/50% polyester. - 1 forest-green (not blue-green like it appears in the photo) T-shirt with white screen-printed design of a human holding a crescent moon that says underneath “Take Back the Night, Ann Arbor, 2005” (Take Back the Night is a traditional anti-rape event.) ~20 years old, relatively sturdy, 50% cotton/50% polyester. - 1 “heather”/“brindle” gray T-shirt with red-with-blue-accents screen-printed design of all-gender symbol that says inside “Transgender Michigan”. (This is both the name of an organization and indicates general support for the transgender population here.) ~15 years old (screen-printed on used shirt), soft and thin with a several small tears, 90% cotton/10% polyester. Since they’re cotton/polyester blends, unfortunately they are neither compostable nor recyclable, as is also true for any screen-printed clothes. Getting used items is still more eco-friendly than any new, but for those wanting to avoid microplastic pollution that comes from synthetic fabrics (like polyester, nylon, spandex, etc.), they can be gently hand-washed and line-dried, and/or worn over other clothes to require less washing. Wrinkles can be removed even without washing by hanging in a steamy room or spraying with diluted vinegar, or by ironing on a low-to-medium setting with any screen-printing folded inside. Only washed in hypoallergenic nontoxic eco-friendly soap/detergent, without dryer sheets, for decades. Kept free from contamination by fragrance and smoking/vaping, in a home that has long followed nontoxic practices and is completely synthetic-fragrance-free, and has not adopted new cats or dogs since the last nonhuman resident about six years ago. Please feel free to reach out with questions!

Free: Retro ceiling light from 80's (Western Dearborn) This light fixture was used in kitchen until recently when I updated. It holds 3 bulbs. Screws included. It works, but it might be good to replace wiring to be on the safe side since it is over 35 years old. It looks like it can be painted although you don't see the fixture much when hung. Glass dome is frosted with a line pattern on it. It will go in the trash if no one wants it.
