Second-hand books — for resale in support of UK charities (Beckton E6)
I'm looking for unwanted books of any kind for Bookcause. We are a small, independent book reselling project that gives second-hand books a new life while supporting charity shops across the UK. I will be reselling the books online via eBay. The proceeds go towards funding Bookcause and supporting the charity shops we partner with who don't have the resources to sell donated books themselves. I'm a professional librarian with 8 years of experience, so every book will be honestly assessed, carefully graded, and listed with care, not bulk-processed or sent to landfill. I'm particularly looking for: — Fiction (literary fiction, historical fiction, crime, mystery, thriller, cosy crime, contemporary fiction) — Children's books (picture books, early readers, middle grade, young adult) — Non-fiction (memoir, biography, true crime, popular science, nature writing, history, travel, cookery, mindfulness) — Books in good, very good, or like new condition As a small community project, we rely on the generosity of donors to keep Bookcause going. If you're able to post your books directly to us, we'd be incredibly grateful — postage costs are covered by you as your donation to the cause. Alternatively, if you have a larger quantity such as a full bookshelf or multiple boxes, I'm happy to arrange a collection in person from South East London and surrounding areas. Every book donated, however it reaches us, makes a real difference. Books I'm unable to use: — Encyclopaedias, dictionaries, and large reference sets from before 2010 — Heavily damaged, wet, or mouldy books — Textbooks from before 2015 — Reader's Digest condensed books If you have books sitting in boxes, gathering dust on shelves, or waiting for a charity shop run — please get in touch. I'll give them the care and attention they deserve and make sure they find a new reader. Thank you for reading and for being part of a community that believes in giving things a second life.
