This glorious Big Bird from Sesame Street costume cost me £899 a few years back, which means at one point I made a serious life decision. That decision involved feathers. Many feathers. Now? No longer needed. The era of giant yellow bird energy in my life has passed, and it is time for someone else to soar. Condition: Very good. The feathers are still fabulously fluffy. The beak still commands respect. The eyes still stare into the middle distance like they’ve seen things on Sesame Street they can never unsee. Size-wise, this majestic avian masterpiece will fit perfectly on a human between 5 ft 7 and 6 ft. If you fall within that range, congratulations — destiny is calling. If you’re taller, you may become “Big Bird Who Slightly Slouches.” If you’re shorter, you’ll simply be “Extra Big Bird.” Perfect for: • Children’s parties (terrify or delight — results may vary) • Random Tuesday evenings • Knocking on your neighbour’s door to borrow sugar without explanation • Standing silently in your garden at dusk Please note: once worn, people will expect you to know the alphabet.
