Vintage Christmas Card Hangers (By Hackney Downs station E5)
FREE – a little piece of Woolworth Christmas history! 🎄 Set of 10 Christmas card hangers, each holding up to four cards, so you can display up to 40 cards. The hangers link together, allowing you to create a suitably magnificent cascade of Christmas greetings. Used only once. I simply don’t have enough room to display cards this way anymore. The contents are complete and in very good condition. The packaging, however, has travelled a harder road through life. 😄 It is original, intact-ish and proudly still advertising its 75p Woolworth price. Made in Great Britain, from the days when Christmas cards arrived in such quantities that apparently specialist infrastructure was required. Pen and tape measure in the photo are for size reference only and are not included. Free to a good home – ideally one with more Christmas cards and more wall space than mine. 🎅📮

5ft Christmas Tree (By Hackney Downs station E5)
Lovely Wilko slimline artificial Christmas tree, approximately 150 cm / 5 ft tall. It performed admirably for three Christmases, then was carefully packed away and has spent the following three Christmases doing absolutely nothing. 🎄😂 It deserves better. It’s a lovely slimline shape, so ideal if you want a proper Christmas tree without surrendering half the room to it. It has adjustable branches and a firm base, and importantly, no dropping needles. All the pieces should be inside the box. I packed it away complete and haven’t disturbed it since, but after three years in storage I’m not going to make promises on behalf of Christmas Past. 😄 Instructions included. 🎉 The box has acquired a little character during its years in retirement, but has kept everything safely together. FREE to someone willing to bring it back into festive service. 🎄✨ Collection only.

Microwave Turntable Ring (By Hackney Downs station E5)
FREE – microwave turntable roller ring, approximately 21 cm diameter. This came from an old microwave. When the microwave went, I carefully kept the ring because I had an idea that it could be useful for a future project. There was going to be creativity. There may have been engineering. Possibly something would rotate magnificently. None of this happened. 😂 So, rather than continuing to store it in honour of a project that exists only in my imagination, it is free to someone who can actually use it. It has three little wheels and was originally used underneath the glass turntable in a microwave. Could be useful as a replacement if the size fits yours, or perhaps for a craft/DIY project. Please check the photo and measurement carefully to see if it suits what you need. Free to a new home. 😄

Wicker Basket Seeking Porpuse (By Hackney Downs station E5)
FREE – lovely old-fashioned wicker basket with a gloriously large handle. 🧺 It came to me one Christmas filled with things. I kept the things. I also kept the basket. For years. Apparently I was waiting for a basket-related emergency that never came. 😄 Approximately 50 cm long, 65 cm tall and a good useful size. Lovely for a hamper, fruit and veg, craft supplies, storage, a Christmas display, or for wandering through the countryside collecting wildflowers. The wicker has some wear and imperfections, but it still has plenty of rustic charm. The blue wrapping around the handle was already there when it came to me and has clearly decided it is part of the family. Free to someone who actually has a plan for it, rather than keeping it for several years in anticipation of an unspecified future basket requirement. 😄 Collection only. 🧺

Free to a good home — a wooden expandable wine rack ready for its next collection of reds, whites… or whatever you’re celebrating. Scissor-style design that expands and folds smoothly. Fully open it measures approx. 56 cm wide x 37 cm high (see measuring tape and pen in photos for scale). I’ve wiped it down, but it would benefit from a proper clean. One corner has some darker marks and would improve with a bit of sanding or attention (see close-up). Structurally sound and working as it should. Lightweight and easy to carry by hand — just bring your own bag.

FREE – complete door knob lock set looking for a door to call home. 🔑🚪 Includes the two metal door knobs, locking mechanism, latch, strike plate, three keys, fitting tool and instructions – basically all the little bits that usually mysteriously disappear the moment you need them. Lovely brushed/dark metal finish and in as new condition. I cannot promise that it will fit every door known to humanity, so please have a good look at the photos and fitting instructions to make sure it is suitable for yours. I bought it with every intention of becoming the sort of beautifully organised person who carries a week’s medication neatly in her handbag. Then I saw the size of it and realised my handbag already has enough responsibilities. 😄 Seven separate compartments, one for each day of the week, with lovely spring-loaded buttons – press the white button and the little lid pops open. Broken Metal Dog Planter (By Hackney Downs station E5)
FREE to someone who enjoys a little rescue mission. 🐶 Quirky metal dog planter, around 60 cm tall when assembled. He has long legs, splendid feet, a plant-pot body and a face with considerable personality. Unfortunately, his head has parted company with his body. The metal stem that connects the head to the planter has broken, as shown in the photos. Everything is still there, so someone handy with welding, metalwork or an ingenious repair may be able to reunite them. Otherwise in as new condition. Alternatively, he could be repurposed — planter, garden sculpture, spare metal parts, or the beginning of an extremely niche art installation. Free, collection only. Please adopt him. He has already been through enough. 😄
