Request:
Computers (West Bridgford NG2)
I am a retired Advanced Lecturer in electronics. I am currently looking for computers and laptops that I can refurbish and gift to people who are not in a position to buy. Note: Microsoft's support for all Windows 10 versions ended in October 2025 (however, if you pay £30, minimum support can be extended for 12 months - this price doubles for each 12 months extension thereafter). Also, Microsoft's support for Windows 11 23H2 ended on November 11, 2025. If you are not sure which version of Windows is on your computer type winver in the search box and hit Return and it will appear in the summary that pops up, Suitable computers for donation are: Purchased in or after 2015. Windows 11 & 10 computers (that may or may not be Windows 11 compatible). Laptop or desktop tower (micro towers especially). I do not charge anything for my time or the computers that I gift so it helps if they are in working order. Many people remove the hard drive as a security measure though it is not always necessary. Microsoft gives advice and instructions on how to prepare your computer for donation. Just search for "How to Prepare Your PC For Sale or Donation" and select the Microsoft's Support Page. If you prefer, I can remove personal data (by securely shredding and formatting) before carrying out a total re-installation of the Operating System (Windows) in accordance with Microsoft's instructions. If it is not possible to re-install Windows, I install the Linux Mint Operating System. Demand far outstrips supply so I am grateful for donations. Thank you for your consideration.

Drip Feed Porous Hose (Ilkeston DE7 4B)
Not sure if that’s the correct title for a porous hose, but one end is blocked off and the other end connected to your garden hose and it dribbles out slowly all along its length to keep dry beds hydrated. It’s so many gallons per hour, can’t remember the figures. Overall length about 8 yards. Condition a bit green in a few places but seems to work as it should.

3h
Free:
Packing stuff (Littleover)
Packaging for ebay etc.

Free:
cylinder vacuum cleaner (Wollaton NG8)
Panasonic (MC-E862) vacuum cleaner, old but still functioning well - until I trod on the end of the hose (see photo) so attachments no longer attach securely. It’s too old for spare still to be available. Needs a bit of an internal clean. Dust bags still easy to purchase. But if anyone thinks they can use it, I’ll be glad for it not to go to the tip.

3h
Free:
Carpet shampoo (Wollaton NG8)
New or little used bottles of shampoo for Vax carpet cleaner. I’ve had them for some years, and as low-foaming may well still be suitable for current -or other?- models. They have an anti-allergen additive. I also have an even older carpet and upholstery shampoo bottle with plenty left (not I think for a machine), not pictured. Take one, two or all.
