Computers for disabled people (North Laine BN1)
Thank you for reading my posting and especially to all those who have donated me equipment so far! I am a retired computer engineer, and during the last year I have given away a number of computers and printers, some via Freegle, and I have tried to donate them all to people in need, especially those who are disabled. Very often this equipment has come to me by my own scavenging of the council electrical recycling bins (in the face of hard competition) and also from what people have left in the streets across Brighton, where I regularly walk for 2 hours every day. PLEASE let me recycle your computers to someone in need rather than just throw them in the bins! What I am looking for is ANY machines that may be capable of running the Linux Mint operating system to some usable degree, which means Macs from around 2007 onwards, or PCs which shipped with Windows 7 or 8 and onwards. If you are worried about your data, I can offer a written guarantee of data destruction, or else to remove the hard drive from the machine and return it to you. I can collect from you within the Brighton and Hove area. I will accept machines that are not currently operating, or may be usable for parts. Since the start of my appeal here I have already been offered 6 usable machines, and I hope this can continue, as on ONE day alone I have given away two.....and anyone out there with any contacts in local business and government do please message me on Freegle.....

150 x 200 x 23 orthopedic pocket spring mattress from Sussex Beds. Spotless and in good condition. I'm changing to a different size mattress. You'd need to collect on the day i have the new mattress delivered and be able to carry it down a flight of stairs, so a two person job.

Old Ferplast small rodent cage that is surplus to requirements. Has been used for guinea pigs; the grille size is too large for hamsters or gerbils etc. Size approx: 60cm L, 40W.
