Anything for Our New Allotment (Stafford)
Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone has any unwanted gardening or allotment equipment they no longer need and would be happy to give away. I've recently taken on an allotment in Stafford, which I'm hoping to turn into somewhere special for me and my daughter. We've been through an absolutely heartbreaking time as a family. I lost my 15-year-old daughter, and then, less than a year later, we lost the girls' mum too. It's just the two of us now, and if I'm honest, it sometimes feels like the world has carried on around us while we've been left standing still. I'm hoping the allotment will give us something positive to focus on, somewhere we can spend time together, enjoy being outdoors and slowly build something of our own. I'd also love to grow flowers in memory of those we've lost. I've managed to get a few bits of equipment together already, but there's still quite a lot we could use. I'd be really grateful for anything such as: - Spades, forks, rakes, secateurs, loppers or other gardening tools - Wheelbarrows, buckets, watering cans or garden trugs - Water butts, barrels or large water containers - Plant pots, planters and raised bed materials - Compost bins, spare timber, paving slabs or bricks - Seeds, bulbs, plants, cuttings or spare compost - A garden shed, storage boxes or shelving - A greenhouse (polycarbonate or plastic only, as glass isn't allowed) - A polytunnel or anything similar - Garden chairs, a bench or somewhere to sit - Or absolutely anything else that might be useful on an allotment! I'd especially love to find a little shed or greenhouse. Although I'll be honest, I haven't got the first clue how to dismantle one and put it back together! 😂 But I'm more than willing to learn, and any advice or guidance would be appreciated. Things don't need to be new or perfect. I'm happy to clean things up or give them a bit of TLC, as long as they're still usable. I also want to reassure anyone offering something that everything will be for our own allotment. I'm not collecting things to sell on. Money is quite tight at the moment, so I thought it was worth asking in case anyone has anything sitting unused that they'd like to see put to good use. Shame to waste the wooden panels which are from a bespoke sliding door wardrobe. Two panels floor to ceiling height, with fret work panel in the middle. Plus full panel mirror fitted on chipboard backing. Plus two smaller wooden panels. The internal shelves are also available but some are needing a clean. Ideal if someone knows how to put together to use the various parts that have been dismantled. They are outside. Be nice if someone could retrieve before the rain. The photos show what the original looked like.

Update: 1 extra frying pan than pictured (needs a good scrub) 1 frying pan, 2 large pans, 2 medium pans. Pans all have lids. Well used but well loved. Great starter set for a student. I've used them for a long time but now have an induction hob which these don't work on unfortunately. Please bring your own bag or box to carry.
