vintage Duracraft fans (for parts) (South Boston)
I write this humbled by two fan-tragedies. We have here a rainbow DT-740 (c. 1994) and a blue mini box fan (DB-series) (c. 1992-1994). The primary colored fan fell victim to my foot kicking it off a table during a sweltering summer nap. The blue square one danced itself off a table while helping us keep the smoke alarm from alerting the building to the fact that we burned some toast. They both still turn on, so I tried to repair the yellow blade once with superglue (...I know...) and it didn't hold up to the RPM. I've watched videos about taking the motor apart to put on a new deadstock set of blades ; but it's a touch above my paygrade. I have too many projects to give these two what they deserve. Please tell me you're a fan wizard -- or a fan scavenger -- able to move these from eyesore-in-the-corner to a useful next stage of life.

Hearing Aid Batteries #13 (near Huron and Garden, Camb.)
I'm asking for your help in getting hearing aid batteries to someone you likely know who can use them. The package is worth at least $40 to someone with a hearing aid. It will also help preserve a small portion of the planet that won't be mined for the raw materials used in batteries. Although batteries are used in many applications (and are essential for hearing aids), their manufacture is also environmentally destructive. This free package includes 55 (size 13) hearing aid batteries (almost a year's worth), which originally cost $30. Also included are three Phonak wax guard packs, each containing eight guards (costing $10-15 per pack). Please think of a friend or relative who uses a hearing aid and tell them about these free batteries and wax guards. That gesture will help them and our environment.
