Approx 9ft x 12ft rectangle, plus extra bits at edges because of the shape of the room. Would benefit from underlay. The carpet still has some life in it, but the underlay is breaking up with age. Lots of hanging files for standard filing cabinets - files are approx 40cm/16 ins wide measuring to the ends of the metal bits (38 cm/15 ins wide across the cardboard) - would take foolscap/folders, not only A4. You can take as many or as few as you want - I have three boxes full waiting for a new home. :-)
