Christmas Food (Eltham SE9)
Hi there everyone, hope you are all keeping well and having an enjoyable weekend. I was just wondering if anyone knows of any community connections groups, churches etc that are offering families help with Christmas food parcels please..? My family - my Mum, my Brother and I have been finding things increasingly difficult lately (like so many people) not just financially but also health wise and coping generally, so I was hoping to find out if there is any help available that would allow me to give them a nice Christmas dinner if nothing else; to hopefully put smiles on their faces, give them full bellies and happy hearts for Christmas day. If anyone knows of anywhere that may be able to help, I would be extremely grateful if you could please get in touch. Thank you for taking the time to read this. One (very) large wall mirror (Bexley)
200cm x 75cm Originally from NEXT Bexleyheath, when they were refurbishing I crossed the site manager’s palm with silver ( notes, actually ) and blagged this large wall mirror. It had been pre drilled with two fixing holes but I mounted it additionally with wall mounted clips above and below ( Screwfix is your best bet ) N.B. The mirror is on the second floor of my house. Getting it there intact via a narrow twisting staircase was no mean feat. You’ll need two people, patience and a sense of humour to get it down to ground level. Bring suction devices and protective gloves if you have them!

These are super-clever little things that you can let your kids wee into if there’s no convenient toilet, and the stuff inside turns the liquid into a gel so you can safely put the whole thing in a bag and dispose of it later. Five left from a six-pack. These are several years old but there doesn’t seem to be an expiry date. Pick up between 9am and 5pm on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, or Saturday. Location is 3 minutes' walk from West Croydon Station. Priority given to people who are nearby, and who tell me in their first message exactly when (date and time) they want to come.

This has been in my cupboard unused for 8-10 years as I switched to sidemount diving, so I recommend it gets a service to ensure that it's still safe. It has a non-standard buoyancy system, it uses a lever on the hip instead of an inflator. The left weight pocket handle is broken. It weighs about 2.5kg.
