2 Violins Needed for Children (Oneida county ny)
Hello, I am a parent in Oneida County hoping to find two free or very low-cost beginner violins for my children. They are 8 and 9 years old, and both have a real interest in learning violin. One is about 4'8", and the other is nearly as tall. They deserve the chance to discover something they love, learn a skill they can carry with them, and feel included—but right now, buying or renting instruments is simply beyond what our family can afford. Their school also does not have violins available for students to borrow. I am not looking for anything fancy—just two playable student violins, ideally with bows and cases, that another family no longer needs. Used instruments are more than welcome. Even one violin would mean so much and bring us closer to making this possible for both of them. We can pick up locally in Oneida County or nearby, and I promise they will be cared for, appreciated, and put to good use. Thank you from the bottom of a parent’s heart for reading and considering helping two children have the opportunity to make music.

fair ComfortGlow Ventless Fireplace (Ithaca - West Side)
This is currently working, but frequently I need to relight the pilot. In the past I have solved this by a thorough cleaning of the device. So if you are interested in it, pls start with cleaning it. Alternatively you can replace the pilot assembly. This works for either Natural Gas or Propane. Originally purchased at Lowe's. They still have the info on their site:

It was not opened until my cat gnawed a hole in the bag, which I taped up. The food is called DM Dietetic Management but perhaps it would also be fine for a non-diabetic cat to eat. . A bit of online research or asking your vet might give you the answer..

Ancient Singer sewing machine. It has been in a basement for a long time, so is very mildewy. You probably won't want the cabinet, but the cast iron legs and treadle would make a nice base for a sewing table. The sewing machine itself is only missing a bobbin plate, though I doubt that it would still work. Admittedly, whatever you do with it will take some work.
