I'm after any faulty small electronics that are likely to be heading for the bin. I'd like to try to give them another chance at life. Anything from food mixers, coffee machines, cameras, audio, power tools - and anything in-between, even fishing gear and car parts. No white goods as my small bench can't take them. Thanks

Chipset: Lantiq XRX200 SoC with Atheros wireless — the well-documented, well-supported combo for OpenWrt. One of the more popular "cheap DSL router to hack" devices in the OpenWrt community. You get a proper VDSL2/ADSL2+ modem, 5x gigabit ports with real VLAN-capable switch, and wifi all under OpenWrt — not just a dumb AP. The catch: flashing needs UART serial access (a "chopstick"/jumper-wire rig into test points on the board, no soldering required with the popular method), then TFTP-booting the install image over Ethernet. It's a well-trodden process with guides — not experimental — but it's more involved than a stock web-UI firmware upload.
