Wild fungi/mushrooms growing locally (Hearthstone DE4)
A bit of an unusual ask, but I'm trying to learn about local fungi and I'd like to see, photograph, identify and occasionally pick them (to take a spore print, look at them under a microscope, set them in resin, or - very rarely - to eat). I've so far identified about 125 species within 3 miles of where I live. It has given me a reason to get outside and walk more, and to learn how to identify the different types. So if you have mushrooms or fungi (or something unusual growing that might be fungi) growing in your lawn, on some wood or a tree, or have seen any local to you please let me know. Ideally please share a photo. And if you are a local forager or fungi fan, drop me a note if you'd like to meet up and share finds!
