Chinese Silver Maiden Grass (Miscanthus sinensis Gracillimus)
Robust perennial grass which grows in rounded mounds 3' to 4' high.
It produces showy creamy white plumes in the fall similar to those in the 2nd image (stock).
Readily dividable into manageable clumps. (I can help with the digging.)
