Digital corded/Cordless phone system. Panasonic base station with answering machine, caller ID, phonebook, speakerphone and a bunch of other features. Cordless handset is a bit persnickity about charging. Additional cordless handsets are about $70 and available from Panasonic though not 100% compatible with this older model. Porch pickup.
