This is a Sony brand CD player designed for a component system - which means you'll need an amplifier and speakers to attach to it. It holds 300 CDs so you can make lists, randomize play, etc. I can confirm that it powers on when plugged in, but it may need some additional tinkering to get it to open the disc compartment.
