Is anyone collecting components? A couple of items probably not much use as they are but good for taking apart...
1. Cupboard light that's supposed to turn off in the dark (ie when the cupboard door closes). Turns on but stays on! Has a nice magnet for the battery door, LDR (faulty?), 4 white LEDs, nice casing. Circuit board looks accessible once a few screws removed.
2. Slighty scary USB fan. The blades are very rigid and there's no switch so it has dodgy vibes, but the USB is nicely attached to the little gooseneck, and the motor/blades setup is super smooth.
Let me know if these (and potentially similar things in the future) are better off in your workspace than the waste reception centre! Small enough to drop through your letterbox if you're fairly nearby, otherwise collection from Southampton Way end of Burgess Park.
