Apple Macbook Pro (mid-2009, 15-inch monitor, 8GB of memory ). It is fine physically, but its chipset prevents it from accepting operating system updates newer than OS 10.11.6 (El Capitan).
It is useful for web browsing and email, at a minimum, and I was running an older version of MS Office on it with no problem. Comes with a charger and a newish battery that I replaced myself when the original pooped out. Be aware that it is 14.5 inches wide, 10 inches deep (larger than most current laptop models) and weighs 5.3 pounds.
