This is a peacock chair which I have had for a good number of years and which has always been in a bedroom (used only for clothes and never for sitting on!).
The back only reaches to 80cm high from the ground.
To be honest, I would not be confident of using this as a normal chair due to its age and the unknown (aged dry) condition of the rattan, not even for a child.
