Manual sewing machine (St Bees CA28)

Hi folks, has anyone got a manual sewing machine they don’t need. My hands are full of arthritis and hand sewing is a disaster. Do my lovely friend has offered to teach me how to use a machine. I’m a bit nervous of electric, I have visions of sewing a finger to the material! Many thanks Margaret
